 Time for a vacation, shop is closed until January 8th. 12.30.2003
  Computerized "crochet" embroidery on labels for scarves, possibly shoulder awnings. Wool and mohair fur coating fabric/wool suiting. Rayon and/or cotton thread. The embroidered area is just under 4 inches square, including the text. I know these are enormous, but I'm fooling around with branding. Normally, I avoid labels at all costs, really dislike them. But it's the law, so I might as well go in the other direction, making them as big and as luxurious as I can. Some will be hand beaded. The scarves and wraps they will be sewn onto are actually miniature, complete bolts of knitted fabric, usually of an experimental structure, which is how I like to think of them. 12.28.2003

Superbusy, slightly overwhelmed, but enjoying it. Just wanted to note that I feel fully in touch with a deep well of happiness, waves of it, surprising since I'm not getting any sun whatsoever. I love my friends, who are my chosen family. I've made a hard life in some ways, but it's also exhilirating. I take chances, more often that not, they succeed. My percentages are good. Feel in hummingbird mode.
Taking the first week of January off. Building online store, already started designing it. Plan to launch mid-Jan. Teaching resumes in February at the new studio, will update the class schedule in Jan. 12.14.2003
