This Blog is currently Retired. Thank you for visiting! May be resuscitated someday, who knows?
Re-reading the preceding post, I realized I was very unclear: I'm stopping BLOGGING, that's all. Going private. Most definitely I'll be focusing on furthering my businesses at a pace that's livable, and finally {forcing myself} to take some time off, and actually building it into the schedule. Living well is the best revenge. xxxx oooo Staceyjoy Now, shop online from anywhere! ![]() 2.05.2005
Busy. Tired. Busy. Tired. Done talking about it.
A great secret of success is to go through life as a man who never gets used up. Albert Schweitzer (1875 - 1965) So I'm stopping, because I'm too close to being "used up". I'm deathly sick of talking about knitting. I was thinking about it last night: For 12 years my work was deeply appreciated by industry professionals, I was paid handsomely, and it made a ton of money for my clients. Everyone was happy. There was nothing negative about it. NOTHING. 100% positive. Now knitting is the province of the most aggressive people who have been doing it as a hobby for a year or two, and I couldn't be less interested. Ok, you're an "expert". Wow! They're going to TELL YOU HOW TO DO IT! BECAUSE THEY KNOW IT ALL! Get me out of here, I'm supersaturated. I can't look at another badly shaped or simplistic garment. Since I started "sharing", I've been in fights, I've been publicly insulted, I'm getting letters from lawyers, I've been blatantly copied, called a DIYer {yeah, sorry, but that's an insult to me}, been spoken to nastily for not giving specific patterns away and I don't want to continue. It's not worth it. The drama level is absurd considering the subject matter. I will keep this blog for the same reason I started it, as a record of what I'm doing. Or whatever I want. Probably, you should get your knitting fix elsewhere, though. Changes for me, big ones, are afoot. They're overdue. Consumer level is not my arena. I will not be a-lollygagging there from now on. I want to focus, and in private, just like the old days. 2.02.2005
At trade shows most of the day, opening the shop a few hours late. Tired. Was supposed to go yesterday. 2 days off was meaningless in terms of rest. Get to shop the day away, though, not all bad.
