Here's a large panel cable that is a version of one I created for an Italian designer, for Spring 1997. It is 34 stitches wide, not counting any purl stitches that border the sides. Depending on your gauge, 3 or 4 would cover a sweater front. We did it in black silk/cotton, with white cross stitch over-embroidery. Beam me up, Scotty....
