Hi. RedLipstick Boutique was opened in October of 2000 as a lark, an art project, an innocent way to have fun. My tiny shop is not about labels or following any mass market idea of what's "in". My clients all have an individual, eccentric style, and the courage to express it.

RedLipstick carries my hand and machine knitwear and jewelry designs, work by local and international artists and designers, strange items I find by trawling the net, silly Japanese toys, scented objects, 22 karat gold and costume jewelry and accessories of all types. Most of what I make is one-of-a-kind or small series.

| I work with manufacturers all over the world to find things no-one else in Brooklyn has. Stock is replenished every week, and frequently daily. It's fun to have an idea in the evening, make a garment the next morning, and have it in the shop that afternoon. |

RedLipstick is a juxtaposition of disparate and humourous elements.

RedLipstick is bangs that are always cut too short, magic knitting eggs, carved quartz rings, merino wool shoulder awnings and yin/yang angora socks.

RedLipstick reserves the right to be fickle, kind, flightly, seriously interested and spectacularly detail oriented while purposely building in an error at all times.

RedLipstick will not be compromised, unless It wants to be.
